CNet Technology introduces Business-Class network products

28 Nov 2008 / Tina
San Jose, CA, August 5, 2008 - Known for its total solution approach, CNet Technology, a Silicon Valley networking and communications company established in 1987, announced the addition of two business-class products to its line of networking products: the CUBR-1705 Load Balancing Router and the CUS-2524
L2 Manageable Giga Switch. They provide SMB, Corporate and Government networks with the reliability, flexibility, and security needed to ensure high-performance and productivity.

“In addition to complementing our existing product line, we believe the CUBR-1705 and CUS-2524 meet the growing needs of SMB networks,” said Bryan Chan, EVP of CNet Technology. “Available at affordable prices, both products have features that make it an ideal choice for networks with multiple connections”, added Chan.

CUBR-1705 is a cost-effective high-performance load-balancing broadband router with powerful data processing, high-speed switching, and fast NAT algorithm. Used to create secure connections between headquarters and branch offices, this broadband router supports multiple WAN connections. It can load-balance, provide more than 3 times the packet-forwarding rates, and is capable of servicing 200 concurrent connections.

The CUS-2524 is a business-class high-performance L2Giga managed switch with 4 Giga SFP module slots considered to be a competitive Ethernet switching solution for enterprise networks. Its Giga optical fiber ports support up to 80km distances, making this switch an affordable and ideal device for connecting to MAN backbone networks. Network security is provided through 802.1X port-based user authentication. And with its auto-detection and restraining of broadcast storms and IMP snooping support, the switch prevents network flooding allowing bandwidth to be used for essential network applications. Its port trunking (8 ports/group), 802.1p port priority, QoS L2-4 traffic classification, and VLAN translate into a reliable, secure, and efficient network.

The CUBR-1705 and CUS-2524 are available through CNet distributors including Tech Data, SED, Eastern Data, AMAX, MaLabs, Centel, CT International, and Intcomex.
