FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

CNet Technology to Launch Networking Products That Address Basic and SMB Needs
Milpitas, CA, June 8, 2006
CNet Technology announced the upcoming launch of two new wireless networking products, scheduled for early June, that address the needs of two end-user markets: those who want basic features and security and those in the small and medium business (SMB) environment with more complex networking needs. The first product, the CRW-854V Wireless-G Router, offers a total solution in one box: 4-port switch, 802.11g compliant Access Point, and a cable/DSL router. Its features translate to maximum security, connection to wired and wireless computers, networking capability including sharing files and peripherals, firewall protection, and encryption. "With speeds of up to 54Mbps, the CWR-854V offers easy installation, Internet access sharing, location flexibility, and URL filtering," said Bryan Chan, EVP of CNet Technology. "It's perfect for small-office and home-office customers who want wireless security as well as the basic features for activities like email, online banking, connecting to different networks, and telecommuting…at an affordable price." For more complex needs, the second product, the CWR-901 Wireless-G SMB Router, has VPN IPSec/PPTP/L2TP support that provides secure connections for remote users as well as VPN features for secure network utilization. In addition, it offers advanced filtering capability through Access Control Lists and URL filtering and network/application enhancing-features like Qos and VLAN. According to Chan, "This is an ideal router for the SMB environment because its Internet Security features include a DoS function that protects against hackers to ensure privacy. And, with QoS (Quality of Service), it's also great for online gaming and VoIP because it provides a higher quality experience when using applications over a network. QoS techniques help to make sure there are no delays or interruptions for these customers." Distributors for CNet products include Tech Data, SED, AMAX, Ma Labs, Centel, CT International, and Intcomex. Products are also available on Ajump.com and eWiz.com.
